Microsoft wireless Keyboard / mice

probably the only thing that really irks me is microsoft's right handed mice. I want to get the wireless desktop elite with the cusioned pad and the extra buttons to boot. the problem is, the mouse that comes with it is the retarded right handed only mouse, and being left handed it is really uncomfortable to use.

Does anybody know if the new wireless opticals (that have that side scrolling thing on the wheel) are compatible with the receiver on the wireless desktop elite?

basically i want to use this

with this
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=005

without using two receivers...

possible?

I have the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2.0 (non-Pro/Elite). The mouse that comes with that one can be used either right or left-handed. The Pro and Elite models come with contoured mice that are right-hand only. Are there any specific features on the other models that appeal to you or something?

I also believe the new 3.0 model has an ambidextrous mouse.
