Microsoft Wireless Desktop or Logitech Optical Cordless Freedom?

I can't decide which wireless set-up to get.

Logitech Optical Cordless Freedom, cheapest I've seen, is $66 in my Amazon.com Gold Box.
Microsoft Wireless Desktop is going for $30 at CompUSA after $35 rebate.

LOCF drains more batteries in the mouse because it's optical whereas MS's is not.
LOCF's software displays battery remaining, whereas MS's does not.

What to do? Thanks.

<EDIT> it seems as though logitech's setup is harder to find nowadays. are they clearign out for something new? I saw at enpc the logitech comfort access or something like that. it was the exact same thing as the optical freedom except it had a natural keyboard. i couldnt find it on logitech's site though.</edit>

I cannot comment on the MS stuff, but I have been using Logitech cordless desktops for the past couple of years. The batteries last a LONG time. They really work well.

And as for warranty (five year warranty), I have had two mice die, and they give you a brand new complete setup, and you keep your old equipment.

gwlam12, I'd go w/ the LogiTech OCF, depending on your rig setup, it's flatter profile was more comfortable for me, hope this helps 🙂

i have both a wireless Logitech keyboard and a wireless mouse. The mouse had a roller ball, so i switched it out in favor of a logitech iFeel mouseman wheel mouse and i LOVE it! I actually bought two at the time for my box that i had started to buy parts for (a year ago), but never finished it.
