My last uninformed opinion before I actually get a chance to use it:

Win 8 is going to be an absolute debacle. However neat it might be on a tablet, the UI is just going to be a disaster for the traditional desktop/laptop.

Hasn't it been stated that users can go back to the classic UI, therfore bypassing any UI isses? I am looking forward to Win 8, and I hope to be able to choose the UI I would like to use.

Does anyone know if you'll be able to upgrade to the proper release once it's available? I haven't seen this addressed at all. Part of the problem is that from what I've read, the Preview ends in September. Windows 8 doesn't get released until October. So, what happens?

I have the consumer preview installed at work, and I'm not sure what to make of it. Besides the pretty yet somewhat irritating to use Start screen, it's really just Windows 7.

I am glad a native PDF reader is being added as well as the ability to mount a disc image.

I hate having to use 3rd party apps for that (especially since most disc mounters are adware and who knows what other shady crap).
