so i have microsoft virtual pc 2007 running on my XP system

and just installed Vista business through the wizard. was wondering if i needed to install seperate vista graphics drivers? i can't seem to get any non-4:3 resolutions...

No you wouldn't install any drivers in a VM at all but for a much smoother experience with VPC what you can do (and this my give you 16:9 res., not sure) is click on the file menu "action" in the upper left-hand corner and choose "Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions". Once you click on that it will begin an auto install. Just follow the prompts and you're on your way.

Not really. I don't use it that often but I remembered that little item because it does make a world of difference after your chosen OS is loaded.

I'll bet if you google "Virtual PC forums" or "VM forums" or something similar you'll come across whole groups of geeks chatting about nothing but VM stuff.

VM additions allow some guest kernel operations to be executed directly by the host without translation.

Another tip: use antivirus within a guest OS, but on the host tell it to exclude .vhd files from scan.
