Microsoft update KB4497934

An odd coincidence has been occurring ever since I installed Microsoft update KB4497934. On my Gigabyte UD7 X58 game rig, ever since the update the rig crashes every boot. It crashes before it gets through the bios check and it'll tell me my system has failed due to an overclock or voltage change. No matter if it's from a cold boot or restart. I've uninstalled the Microsoft update KB4497934 and it boots up fine.

Anyone having issues like that? I've been doing a little searching and haven't came across any issues like mine.

what happened was the the discombobulator matrix that Gigabyte uses in there motherboards is not compatible with the matrix delinear discombobulator that Microsoft uses for its updates!!
There you go!! problem solved!!
Just ask if you need anything else!!

So you are saying I have to change out the thingamajig, right?

Probably because of the Intel Micro-code updates in the MS update that are loaded at boot. We went around with that with the G3258 at Win10's launch, too. If you were overclocking them in H81 boards, they wouldn't boot. This has since been rectified, but it's possible that with these new micro-codes that you're seeing, you might have to reset to stock clocks, in order to boot.

@VirtualLarry I think you may be right. I ran Cinebench 20 the other day and my MT score dropped from 2019 to 1933 which I'm only assuming could be from a Micro Code update but I could be wrong. I don't recall seeing any micro-code addition to the update but who knows.
