Microsoft up to shenanigans again?

Recently received MS update patch for MSSE (running win7 64-bit legal copy).

Now my Waterfox 18.01 64-bit browser is freezing up.

I leave Skype and AIM running in the background. They don't freeze up.

I discovered that quitting Skype will allow Waterfox to immediately unfreeze.

But I don't think it's skype on it's own, since I haven't updated it.

Before the MSSE patch, all three programs were getting along fine together.

Microsoft owns Skype now, and produces MSSE. Waterfox is a competitor. Obviously MS doesn't like this.

Sorry to disappoint, but it isn't some big Microsoft conspiracy like you'd hoped.
Waterfox is just bad.
Google "Waterfox freezing" and spend a few days reading about users experiencing freezing issues.

Microsoft has added/changed some features in the latest version of MSSE. In fact, it required a fresh install on my machine.

The point being that isn't it far more likely that some change the made unknowingly disrupts the way Waterfox works, rather than Microsoft going after a browser that such a small percentage of PCs actually use? If it impaired Firefox in general, there could be at least some basis upon which to consider this.

Why did you get the latest version of MSE but not the latest version of Skype anyway?
