Yep, very good news. I wonder if all the new jobs will be in Redmond or will it be spread out throughout the US?

I hope you're running off to look for a spell-checker, too!

They hired 15,000 last year if I recall correctly.

MS just got done restructuring the entire company.

Excellent! I'm moving up to that area, looking for a job. Maybe this'll up my chances.

I think Ameesh just left Microsoft for Amazon.

But who would want Microsoft's money, knowing that they obtained it through monopoly pricing and anti-competitive practices?

I do.
I'm not making money from MS directly, but more than half of my works revolve around MS products

No offence to all the pro-Microsoft people, but I wouldn't work for Microsoft even if they were the last company on earth!! I have my scruples to keep. It would be a conflict of interests to work for them.

That's BS, my brother in law was just laid off of Microsoft. He's been working there for AT LEAST six years. Hopefully he'll be hired again.

Brown people rejoice!

Werd. My dad did some testing work for them a few years ago, so I have seen the MS office campus, been to their museum, and bought products from their store, and seen some of their testing stuff. Hell I even have official cds from "Microsoft Burnlabs" when Windows 2000 was still being called NT5. One thing I noticed that 90% the programmers were either brown (south asian) or oriental.
