Microsoft Corp., the leading computer software company, said on Tuesday it would acquire privately held game developer Digital Anvil, continuing its push to acquire game makers for its soon-to-be released console.
Austin, Texas-based Digital Anvil is the maker of the upcoming ``FreeLancer'' space combat simulation game and other yet-to-be-announced titles.
