I am out of school now, going back in fall or next Spring and would like to get MS office student and teacher edition. Does anyone know if they check you out, make you register it in some way etc etc?

I am thinking of buying it from Newegg or similar online company.
 
Not to my knowledge, that is one reason people buy it, they can install it on up to 3 pc's. You won't even be asked to prove that you are student or teacher.

Honest? no. Let your conscience be your guide.
