can't you call your school's bookstore and get the prices that way?

Because that would simply make way too much sense and provide an answer way to fast and easy for his taste?

because i need to check more than one school

is this like a deciding factor on what one you are going to go to?

Nah, he's probably looking at the schools of which he has friends that attend. Then, based on the best price, he'll decide which friend he will buy it through.

Or maybe it IS the deciding factor on where to go to college

Oh, if that's the case, I can just call up my company's MS rep and get anything I want at no charge as well. *neener neener* 😛

So far I've gotten three copes of XP Pro through my school's MSDN program 🙂 Also Win2K Pro & Win98 if I want it

And a ton of other .NET software and such that I as a CPE have no use for 😉

That is work. Easier to ask for others to help. Just like homwwork problems being posed continually in S/W forum.

Was that the "My dad works for X and he got me a free Type-R" when the Type-R of that model didn't exist or something?

I got two copies of XP pro for free from my university. The second copy of XP had SP2 slipstreamed in it, while the first did not. I also have copies of one note 2003, office pro 2003, frontpage 2003, office xp and office 2000. I also have Visual Studen .net.

If it's the one with the guy yammering on about random crap and calling VTEC, Very Tall Engine Cooling.. then yes... yes it is.

Actually, some school bookstores DON'T do the software - at PSU (and all the satellites), the fscking HELPDESK does. So calling the bookstore may result in "wtfchina are you talking about?"
