Microsoft Streets & Trips - Will maps update from older versions?

I have streets and trips 2007 and have tons of maps. I was wondering the roads are outdated, and when I install 2013 and import my old map, will the program update the roads that are wrong?

My question obviosly is not clear.

If I update my 2007 map, to 2010, then to 2013 will the roads be correct. They do not appear to be.

I haven't used it in years, but I don't know how you could merge maps, and have them turn out right. What would the selection criteria be? How would the software determine which map was right aside from picking the most recent revision(2013)?

I would imagine the 2013 data to be the most accurate. It should just replace the outdated info.

If you have routes of your own saved, I don't know. If the software supports importing them, I would imagine that if they are on roads that still exist/function the same, everything should be fine. Otherwise the routes would need tweaking.

Good luck...update the thread when you get done.

I had a 2007 map in use until 9/2013. It has tons of GPS tracking shown on it, practically everyplace I have driven since then. The map was outdated as some of the roads were changed, and redone.

Now for the kicker, the 2013 version is not compatible with 2007 maps. So you have to install 2010, import the maps from 2007. Resave them in 2010 format. Then import the 2010 map into 2013 and there you have it.

Locally it appears some roads are still a bit off.
