Microsoft store v.s. Apple store at Mall of America

Yeah, they'll probably lose money but just leave it open because it looks cool and they're trying to be cooler than Apple.
 
Yes its been there for a while now. I was in both, back in early May. The Microsoft store is kinda neat. Big video screens, a few Touch tables to play with. Nothing special though.

The Apple store was packed, the Microsoft store had 15-20 people in there when I was there.
 
I've no doubt that the Microsoft store will do poorly and for most of the reasons in the article. However, being directly across from the Apple store isn't one of them. Microsoft retail is fully capable of failing on it's own, thank you very much.
 
Does MS have some of their experimental stuff in the store? They do some neat shit that hasn't been released to the public. They could one-up Apple that way.
 
They have had one here in San Diego for a while now. Other than being able to play with a Kinect on a giant screen and having walls made of LCDs there isn't much to it.
And as others have stated it is nearly empty when the Apple store in the same mall is packed to the brim.
