i just read an e-document that claims that windows somehow logs all your computer activities and stores them in a place that you can't get to. the document does tell you how to get rid of those files, i am just wondering if any of you has heard about something like this.

Well, I know that if you click on "Search" in Windows XP it tries to call home to sa.windows.com...but that's all I know of off the top of my head.

Yeah, I've heard of this. There's a log file somewhere in the Windows directories. Word has some logging deal going on, too.

I don't mind anymore.

Bill want to steal your porn.

wow.. if that was possible.. largest porn network in the world... *faints and drool all over the floor*

I don't think this is true.. if it is, MS would come under very heavy flak from all over the place, probably more than they want to handle.

Yep, I've heard of this too. When you delete your cookies and history and things, they're not really deleted. Let me see if I can find a link...

Edit: Here is one link...I seem to remember a more in-depth explanation somewhere...

I remember with Office97 that Outlook would track every file's opening and closing and time worked on by default. Talk about dragging down older PC's!

i think the file actually stated that there are multiple files and you can only delete them in DOS. the author seems to suggest that there are multiple files etc. and they do take up room. not sure. anyone else want to comment?
