Microsoft SP2 and AMD Enhance Virus Protection

If you update to SP2 and find yourself unable to install programs, devices stop working, or unable to install drivers, read this.

This deals with AMD64 EVP (Enhanced Virus Protection) with the processors, basically, you need to edit the boot.ini to disable the write protection.

I can't believe this does not generate interests... may be people here are more interested in if going to a strip club is a waste of money.

Anyways... if you update to SP2, make sure you look in your boot.ini file and change <text> / noexecute = <text> to <text> /execute, this would enable you to install programs and drivers and such. Now if you're really technical, then read the document and find out.
