In black-hat communities, website defacer = script kiddie.

In all communities, black-hat = TOOL. I don't know why people get off on that crap.

In case it isn't clear; that is a microsoft affiliate. Microsoft.fr redirects to microsoft.com/france. They've simply parked their own subdomain.

We should get the ATOT effect and the Slashdot effect on this. I hear, combined, they've got a mean DDoS. =]

o rly?

The server at experts.microsoft.fr is taking too long to respond.

Lame prank.

Ive actually seen another site or two that these guys have hacked recently....would be pretty cool if they got M$.com

Exactly why would it be cool to cause disruption and defacing to a website? It's so childish and pathetic.

Word.

It is not admirable at all and I think it is evidence of immaturity.

I generally think people smart enough to break into servers are pretty intelligent - at least when the targets are high-profile

you guys are right though. this case = script kiddie

I doubt it's a technical script kiddie. If it were that simple, it would have been done before and more-wide spread. All I can assume is that they exploited some major vulnerability (XSS?) and got access to the FTP server.
