Hey, so Ive had the mouse for some 3 years now (I think - maybe 2.5 years) and its used REGULARLY by myself and my siblings to play games viciously (lol exaggeration...slightly). Anyway, at random times the mouse becomes unresponsive or seems not to activate. This happens AFTER I boot to desktop - right after I log in.

Is this a driver issue? Im getting the feeling that it IS a software and not a hardware issue but I wanted to make sure. The mouse functions just fine when I play and do my normal thing but when it stops responding like that I have to unplug it and then replug it before using it again. Let me know what you guys thing. Thanks.

I have the exact same mouse ... and it's only unresponsive after a reboot. Mine becomes immediately responsive with a right click (or a few left clicks)

I'm thinking it's the drivers because I didn't have the problem when I was formatting my current computer, it only started to happen after I installed the intellipoint drivers.
