I bought a used controller for very cheap, but now may have been ripped off...
Its an older sidewinder controller that uses the joystick port. I've used the software CD to intall the controller, and when I go to the control panel under gaming options, under controller it shows "microsoft sidewinder game pad" and under status it says "not connected".
Is there something in the BIOS or on the motherboard to turn on. I've never used the port before, so I'm not sure where to begin. The MB is a fairly current (1yr old) EPOX 8K7A, and I've had no other problems. Thanks.
Do I just have a bad controller, or what should I try?
