I built 9 pc's in 2012 one of the windows pro oem softwares came back as
non-genuine after 4 or 5 months in use.

I purchased it from Amazon I did a report to microsoft and then sent me a windows 7 ultimate with 2 discs a 32 bit and a 64 bit.

I am impressed that they sent a better os then I turned in. I am a bit confused as this seems to be a full retail version not an oem. Oems are locked to a moboboard this looks like I can move it from machine to machine.

Has anyone ever received a replacement kit? Is it locked to one machine?

I call it good customer relations. Enjoy it.

BTW, this thread should be under Operating Systems, not Software. :)

It's good for two moves. After that, you just need to contact them to authorize another. Ultimate huh? Half surprised they didn't pimp w8 on you to improve their shipment figures.
