For Android 4.4 or later. Free to view, create, and edit documents. Some features require an Office 365 subscription (ex. creating or editing documents on tablets with screens larger than 10.1"). Links to individual Google Play store apps:

Word for Android
Excel for Android
Powerpoint for Android

Available from:

Google Play Store
Samsung Galaxy Store
Several Chinese app stores (including Xiaomi, Baidu, and Tencent)

I hope this isn't construed as changing the topic. On my phone, I am now using the outlook.com app and it is being phased out. On my computers, I view email by logging into mail.live.com where I have imported emails from old inactive accounts. Those emails along with the custom folders I have created show up both there of course as well as in the outlook.com app. They do not appear in the Outlook app and I don't see how to make them appear.

I just got an email saying, "Shortly, on July 31, we’ll end support for the older Outlook.com Android app. To avoid service disruptions, we recommend the following:" It's worded such that you wonder if the outlook.com app is going away.

I have no problem with the change but if I can't view what I need on my phone with the switch, the Outlook app is useless to me.

Sigh

While it's easy to pull files from my Google Drive, I can't seem to find the option to save files to said Google Drive.

Otherwise, Word walks all over WPS Office in performance (sad I need to mention this in a word processor app), and bugs, and it works great with documents from Libreoffice on the laptop. There are some features I want though like Night Mode.
