microsoft re-releases hotfix for bulldozer.. now two files

Im seeing framerate improvements in BF3 even with my Athlon2 X2 250 so I think some people are downplaying the significance of this fix. It is a good fix.

Well, since the patch detects the presence of a BD cpu, your improvements are either from something else, or the placebo effect.
