Microsoft/Razer Habu

I've heard bad things about it actually. The Razer DeathAdder (which is just now coming to retail) is the same shape but with a supposedly revolutionary sensor. I'd check that out instead.

I think it is pretty good stuff... I use it now instead of a Logitech G5/G7 (I used to have both)... My only complaint is that it is finiky if you switch USB ports on it. I haven't had any problems when using the same one consistently though...

Actually the Habu isn't all that bad. As long as you don't install the software or update the firmware at this time, the Habu is quite amazing.
I'm usually getting 5-25 more kills per round of CS as compared to my MX518 with the 1000KHz mod.
I did a quick review of it, if you need a link to it PM me and I'll pm you 😉 And the DeathAdder is a very good mouse.
If there's 1 thing that I don't like about the Habu, it's that the area behind the buttons is a plastic that makes your hand sweat like mad!

The Habu is pretty much identical to the Copperhead in terms of hardware. However it's the ergonomics that is the difference. The Copperhead is a finger mouse while the Habu is a hand mouse.

The DeathAdder seems to be targeted primarily at low sensitivity users (resulting in more exaggerated mouse movements), although up to 1800dpi and Razer quality, I'm sure it is good enough to excel at any sort of use. I'll find out tomorrow when I'm supposed to be receiving mine 😉. I was tempted to jump on a Habu but it just was too similar to the Copperhead which I already have.

I have a Habu and love it.. had NO problems with the driver and firmware upgrades, I just followed the instructions on their website. I love it and highly recommend it.

edit: and the ability to change dpi on the fly is great... I often drop down the dpi if I'm sniping for a round in a scrim or if I need to line up a far away shot, then put the dpi back up after I shoot and need to change positions.
