microsoft optical mouse?

hi
i just got an intellimouse optical
i was wondering.. since i run a server and leave my comp on 24/7 the mouse is always on..does the light ever die or anything?

i think it goes into "dimm" mode.... not sure if it's even a "light" even, i thought it was an LED.

does th "light" that tells when your power&hdd is on ever die? its the same thing =]

It will die, but you'll probably have the mouse sold by then. You will probably be dead as well actually.

The led on bottom dims when inactive. The led/tail light stays on at one brightness level. Led's have a very long life expectancy and very little power requirement.
(I know one person who refuses to buy one due to the electric bill because she leaves her computer on continuously to avoid the scandisk telling her she has problems when booting.)
