Microsoft Optical Blue or H2003?

I have an H3003 Optical PS2 mouse and a USB Microsoft Optical Blue mouse. I have to use a PS2 adaptor to run the MOB - on both windows and linux it simply doesn't work w/ USB.

I can't find data for the MOB, so I don't know which is the better mouse, or which I should use.

This page appears to describe data for the H2003; 400 DPI etc.

I'm a gamer, so I *should* go spend fifty bucks on a really fancy logitech or such mouse, but I don't want to throw that much cash on a MOUSE..

Any thoughts?
