Microsoft OneDrive: Syncing and Bitrot?

I'm in the process of ripping all my CD's to FLAC, and I figured OneDrive was a great place to keep them for storage because I'm under the assumption MS has a backend setup that protects against bitrot.

If I manage the files through Windows Explorer, obviously any changes that happen on my disk get propagated to my OneDrive. Does that mean I need to disable OneDrive on my computer (or at least mark the files as "online-only") to prevent the bitrot on my computer from propagating to my OneDrive? Or is OneDrive set up in such a way that it can tell when a random error in my local data is actually an error and will replace my local copy with the known good copy on its end?
