So, I have MSO from work and plenty of it. I don't really even think about it but a family member is wanting to get back into the work force and thinks she needs MSOffice. I'd already set up her computer w/ 2003 and all's well, except she recently got a couple of files that she couldn't open (newer version crap).
I've had mixed results with the compatibility pack but I'm game to suggest that to her if it'll take care of it.
In the last year or so, I simply load alternatives on other people's machines. I simply HATE the idea of MS Office based on legacy familiarity. (Lots of other good & free suites out there)
Suggestions appreciated! TIA
