Microsoft no longer pushing their WGA spyware?

I just did a Windows Update on my laptop, which I don't think I ever did a Windows Update before, and it pushed 101 updates, but curiously not among them was the WGA phone-home tool that it usually pushes, at least for new installs.

Was this a quirk, or is MS no longer pushing their WGA tool?

(This is the update WGA tool, not the minor one that you MUST install even in order to simply use Windows Update. I believe that one is called LegitCheckControl.)

nope its still there.
I did a clean install of xp sp2 yesterday and when it went to the windows update to sp3 it ran through the whole wga thing.

It is still there but if you don't want to use it don't go to the windows update website turn on auto update. Just if you don't want it to download updates or install them for you select the option to just alert you when new updates are released. Works well.
