My 10-year-old natural keyboard elite finally died. I spilt something on it a couple of years ago and there is corrosion on the membrane wires, and yesterday after cleaning with some rubbing alcohol, a few keys stopped registering.

Do you think it is repairable? I can't find any replacement parts (membrane) online and using a pencil to complete the contacts sounds fiddly and unreliable.

This has been one of my best purchases and I can't see any comparable ergonomic keyboards available today. The Microsoft Sculpt keyboard looks great but I don't trust wireless to be 100% reliable. Is there anything else you can recommend, or should I just get a used replacement natural keyboard elite?

Thanks!

All keyboards eventually can wear out. 10 years is an excellent period of service. Replace it with a new one - repair of a KB that old is only the start, and it is not cost effective. Visit your nearest B&M store and get a feel for new ones.

tHE nATURAL 4000 IS usb WIRED, AND PROBABLY A CLOSE MATCH TO WHAT YOU HAVE ENJOYED.

Didn't really like the look of the natural 4000 or the reviews.
Instead I found an unused German Natural Elite PS/2 keyboard going cheap and swapped out some parts.
Keyboard feels great now, like new! Such a great keyboard!
