Toy maker Bandai and Internet investor Softbank will be the sole distributors and marketing agencies of the Xbox game console in Japan, Microsoft said Wednesday.
Happinet, the wholesaler of Bandai's toys and video-game software, will form a new operating division within the company to distribute Microsoft's Xbox to Japanese retailers. Softbank will form a new company to market the game machine.
