Microsoft Money 2006

All together, with checking, savings, and credit cards, I have a total of 6 accounts. I picked up MS MOney 2006 yesterday hoping to get some simpler organization of my finances rather than logging into every single account on it's own. I wanted to be able to take a look at my accounts all at one time at a glance, which MS Money can do. However, while setting up, I could only get 3 of the 6 accounts updated. The remaining 3, it kepy telling me I entered the login info incorrectly. Anyone experience this?

I hate you MS Money.

Some banks use third party services to provide integration with MS Money. Have you tried MS support?

2004 edition is probably all you need. 2005 and 2006 added too much login crap with MSN passport. I didn't want to have anything to do with that....

I like to manually finance my money.

I should add that some of my accounts at smaller banks (say, a credit union) use a third party integration service. I've had them fail one day and work the next.

Make sure:

1. Your login and password work on the banks website.
2. Your bank allows free access via MS Money (I know Chase does not, for instance).
3. You select the correct bank during the online services setup.

I could never get microsoft money to update my account correctly. When I use the automatic updates, it would always throw off my balances. When im suppose to have like an $800 balance, money will say I have like $1200. It wouldnt catch any of the manual transaction I put in. If put a $25 withdrawl from speedway. When i use the automatic account update, money would create an additonal $25 withdrawl transaction from speedway.

That's odd.

Money is usually pretty good about matching manual ledger entries with downloaded ones. On the odd occasion that it misses, it's trivially simple to match the transactions myself.
