Picked up one of these ppc-6600 a couple weeks ago and want to use ms messenger to chat with my wife. Problem is, she cannot download anything to her work computer (she has access rights, but her company forbids it). She works out of the house however so she could use a browser enabled client or java client.

My question: Is there a java version of Ms Messenger or some other client that can communicate with MS messenger that she can use to chat with me? It has to be compatible with messenger.

Its the ppc-6600 for Sprint and worth every penny so far.

Sorry, I can't help with your question -- but do you know if there is a blackberry connect client for that ppc? It's pretty sweet looking!

I sure dont know. I wouldnt know where to find one if it existed. I did a quick search and didnt find anything.

It is a very nice phone. I can get my work email (via pcs Bizcon software), gmail, sbcglobal, and virtually any pop3 or imap emails remotely with this thing, plus connect to my home pc via term server, take videos, still pics, etc.

I am using the thunderhawk browser on the phone also and its pretty quick.

I really dig the phone, can you tell?

Yeah, I did some digging around the Blackberry site and I see that the TMobile MDA and O2 XDA are the only PPC phones with Connect Clients so far. Too bad neither has a sweet keyboard like yours. I really just want a pocketpc phone with blackberry connect client, sliding keyboard, builtin wifi, and SD slot. Builtin Bluetooth would be a bonus, but not a dealbreaker. Is that so much to ask??? :)
