Microsoft Licensing

Right now all our machines at work are ordered w/ XP OEM pre-installed. We've been testing out Acronis Snap Deploy w/ the Universal Deploy add-on, which basically makes the HAL and storage driver problems a thing of the past. Pretty cool stuff so far.

Anyway, from what I've gathered from my own research and the advice of our vendors, we're not at a point where it makes sense to switch to any of MS's volume licensing plans... our PC's are on 3 year leases, so we just get the new version of whatever OS or office suite when we swap out the computer (maybe this is not the cheapest option - any expert advice is more than welcome!). If I'm reading it correctly, though, the Re-Imaging Rights document on Microsoft's site makes it sound like we can use the Volume/Open License media to create our images.

Can anyone verify this? If so, I guess I just need to order a single open license from our vendor and use that CD key for the system I'm going to build the images off of...? This MS licensing crap is about as clear as mud...
