I could use some help. I recently bought a Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000. Not bad, fits my big hands pretty well, and the magnify utility is helpful.
Here's the problem. When surfing, ( I use IE) the right click will just stop working. No menu, nothing. IF I close IE completely, sometimes it will work again when I restart it, other times, I have to reboot to get that function back. I can USUALLY use the right click at the desktop, and get that menu, but not always. I've tried completely removing the drivers and re-installing them, and sometimes it works fine for a day or so, then it starts messing up again, other times, it's a couple of hours.
I had a Logitech mouse for a couple of years, with no problems, and after wearing 2 of them out, I thought I'd try something a bit different, that actually fit my hands...If I can't find a solution, I'm gonna have to buy another new mouse. This is frustrating.
Thanks for looking.

If its under warranty, RMA it and maybe the next one will work.

All my mice are Logitech and never had a problem ever.

5 computers, 5 Logitech. 4 trackballs, 1 wireless.

Not sure if this still applies, worth a shot:

Call Microsoft Supplemental Parts (800-360-7561), they will give you a fax (716-447-7330). Fax the following:

1) To: Microsoft Supplemental Parts
2) First & last name
3) Address
4) Telephone number
5) E-mail address
6) Photocopy of the bottom of the mouse, showing the Product ID on the bottom of the mouse.

Still under warranty...only about 6-8 weeks old. Never had any problem with the Logitech's either, just a little too small for my big hands, and this one pretty much fits. Maybe my next step will be to contact MS for support...(oh joy...what a PITA that will be... BTW, I have the latest drivers from their website...HOPED updating the drivers would help, but no such luck.

Nick, what will that accomplish? What am I trying to get them to do?
Replace the mouse?
