A family member of mine has a key that doesn't work on their keyboard. It's a Microsoft Internet Keyboard - Retail.

Do any of you know if they offer a program where you can get a new keyboard for free? Like they do their mice?

Probably. They replaced a laptop network card for me that died. Just had to read them the serial number and they sent a replacement at no charge and no questions asked.

Yes. I did it with my MS Natural (I wasn't about to throw away $60).

Key words to remember is "RETAIL" not "OEM". Also, be forwarned that they may at their discression replace the keyboard with a different model. I wanted to make sure the one I got was another natural, preferably with USB, and the standard inverted-T arrow keys. They don't make a USB one with the standard inverted-T anymore, so I had to settle for a PS2 one, which I still hate because the page keys are in a different shape. However, the rep on the line was happy to work with me on getting an appropriate replacement rather than the default one.
