How long until the the corporations start dictating what the common people can say and think?

This is actually a pretty ugly trend. I love PC gaming and the "unique" gamer tags people come up with. I also like the complete freedom everyone has on the mic. If you don't like what they have to say, you can leave or just ignore them. Pretty simple concept. Pretty much the only time you get banned if for cheating or some that thinks you're cheating.

then use a service that allows you to do shit like that. you had to agree to the ToS when you signed up. It's not because the company wants to censor you.

Your experience with PC gaming and voice communications is likely quite different that what you would see on Xbox Live. On Live, any retard kid knows how to use the mic, so the matches are full of prepubescent losers who just learned their first curse words and racial slurs. It gets really annoying. I really wish you coult limit match making to specific age ranges. Maybe a flag or something so you can only be matched up with people whose balls have dropped.

Live has several ways of dealing with annoying voice communications/players.

1) You can set voice communications to Everybody, Friends Only, or Nobody.
2) You can selectively mute those annoying players.
3) You can give negative rep to someone that you find annoying and matchmaking will set it so that you don't play together again.
4) You can file a complaint against a particularly annoying/offensive person.

Honestly, I've played both PC and console gaming. The only difference in games with voice communications is that instead of prepubescent losers, PC games have pubescent high school and college losers who like to swear and sling racial slurs just as much.

why do something as simple as that when he can cry here instead?

There are different kinds of feminists and plenty who aren't mean, so don't get all bitchy about them, but that's pretty lame that you got banned for that quote.

Granted its been a while. I was around during the CSS 1.7 - 2.0 move where Steam was hell. Hell. I hopped back in just before TFC2 and haven't been back since.
