Sorry, I accidentally hit enter beforeI got to type my message.

My friend is having trouble with his computer and is getting a fatal error when he is using IE. I don't know what is causing the problem, but I figure reinstalling IE would be my first step. He does not have a fast internet connection, so therefore download IE would take a while. Is there some way I can download the full IE install file with my internet connect and install it on his coputer? Thanks

to my knowledge most AOL cds have IE setup file in them, there are other internet cds that have these, maybe even check with an ISP.

you didn't say what OS he was using.
for versions of IE that he has updated, go into control panel/add|remove programs, highlight IE & hit add/remove button.
a new dialogue box will appear & select repair.
if he's got XP then he'll have to run sfc/scanonce from cmd prompt!

Useful things to know would be a more specific error as well as OS and patchlevel(Service packs, etc).
