Microsoft Breakup Ruling Overturned by U.S. Appeals Court

Washington, June 28 (Bloomberg) -- A U.S. appeals court
overturned a ruling splitting Microsoft Corp. into two companies,
while upholding a judge's finding that the largest software
company illegally defended its Windows monopoly.
The seven-judge panel ordered new hearings to determine a
remedy that would prevent Microsoft from abusing its dominance
over personal computer operating systems. The court also
disqualified U.S. District Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson from the
case, citing comments he made to reporters that the court called
``offensive.''
Microsoft shares rose $3.36 to $74.50 this morning.

Uhh... MS isn't doing so well today. Did you see the pcworld article where users slammed their XP activation feature? Buahahahah!

I like MaximumPC the best, but I learn more from these forums (and others) than the mags anymore..

PCWorld is not a bad one.

This means MS is not in trouble, since now they aren't forced to split up and get a less volitale(sp?) solution.
