Yeah, it was called Microsoft Hearts Network. Never tried it though.

Nah you can't. XP comes with a separate game called Internet Hearts that lets you do network Hearts games.

Used to play Hearts with people at my old tech support job all the time on our awesome 486's. Memories... :p

The Internet Hearts thing is really dumb. You can't choose who you play with, as it's just random people that are chosen for you. You can't chat with them either, you can only select from a selection of things to say like "Good game" or something. There's really no difference between that and playing a computer.
