Why doesn't MS open up their own movie production company? I don't think that's too far fetched for them to do.

Too much money just to produce one movie.

Bill Gates could pull a Howard Hughes. 🙂

maybe it will be as good as wing commander! hahaha

ROFLMAO. I knew that was going to be a bad movie when I read how they decided not to put fur on the alien cats (can't remember their names) to save money.

that movie failed horribly and lost tons of money

I think it's a good idea to be strict with a video game based movie...look at all the others that have came out...the vast majority of them are warm piles

The reason it failed is because as a whole the plot sucked, It was a giant ripoff of Aliens, Starship Troopers and a few other sci-fi movies. Not because it was solely CGI.

I agree it was a ripoff of those movies-- (most games are ripoffs of sci fi movies and it's a weird snake eating it's tale when they try to turn them back into movies) -- but I believe it being cgi WAS a factor. i don't think people want to see quasi-humans. cartoony humans (incredibles) and anthropomorphised animals (nemo) are fine, but with big sci fi movies most people want a movie star, they want a face they recognize, a hot chick, etc.
