IRRC there are many complains about the laser sensor in razor mouse (which this basically is) that it is less responsive and skipping on some surface.

It doesn't happen that much to affect gaming. But it does happen occasionally. However, I still prefer my razer diamond back to the logitech G5.

I've not noticed any skipping with my Lachesis or DeathAdder....or my old Copperhead, come to think of it. I might be using the right surfaces. :)

The Diamondback and Diamondback 3G both use optical sensors, not laser. Haven't had any issues with skipping on a plastic mouse pad.
