"So I am constantly getting these notices telling me I haven't paid something when really it is just on the wrong computer," he added in comments broadcast on television.

"Then they will send me another notice telling me how bad they feel they that they sent me a notice that was a mistake," he said.

That's rather sad commentary, and just further proof of how fVcked up and incompetent the IRS is. I wonder how many non-billionaires have ever gotten an apology (or compensation) from them.

That computer that can't handle his taxes must be a Windows based PC 😉

Nope the computer that tells him he hasn't paid runs mac. The one that tells him the IRS made a mistake is Windows based.

How is that a sign of how incompetent they are? I mean, they have to compute his taxes seperately, and I'm sure the rest of the tax system is pretty highly automated.

They have a separate computer for the richest man in the world and they still can't rationalize what he has paid and what he owes? Is that not obvious, or am I missing something here? Plus, I'm sure everyone on this forum, like myself, has been or knows someone who's wasted weeks, months, even years fighting with the IRS over an error they've made or a questionable interpretation of some law (in which, the IRS is always right).

I like how they use "Microsoft Founder" like no one in the world knows who that could be.
Bill's not the only one, and definitely not the only rich one.
