Microsoft Flight

That is nice looking footage, but for some reason, when reading the press release, it just screams arcade type game. I hope it is as good or better than the previous sims. I skipped X, I hope it was worth the wait.

i was pretty sad when they announced flight simulator was being discontinued. maybe it was just more of a rebranding? i hope this retains the option of being as hardcore.

Looks very cool. I am planning to get into flight sim in the near future.

Maybe this is a good place to ask...what are the best controllers to use for flight sims these days? I'm trying to get an idea which direction to go in and how much I might need to spend.

Sadly, this is going to be more arcade-ish probably 🙁

I love using my brothers Saitek X52

I'm cautiously optimistic...

That looks pretty sweet. That's actually not as expensive as I thought it would take...some I remember seeing ~$200.

The standard version of the Saitek x52 MSRP is $100 and the Saitek x52 Pro MSRP is $200.

Usually you can find them for $75 and $150 (or less) respectively.

So is that video in game rendering? I hope they revamp the engine. I felt Flightsim could have performed a lot better if it utilized graphics hardware more than the CPU.

As far as ive heard, thats just a video. There isnt a whole lot of info on the game yet, and its pretty likely that none of that is in game rendering.

As for graphics hardware.. You gotta remember that FSX came out in 2006. Most games at that point were still CPU heavy.
