This update enables Microsoft DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA) of Microsoft Windows Media Video (WMV) content in Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 for video cards when the drivers of those video cards are designed to take advantage of this feature.
Note there's also another hotfix at the bottom of the page to install. I didn't have to install it though, it's working for me.
At least the acceleration in PureVideo/VideoShader will work now. I'm not sure if the other features work now or not.
Step Into Liquid 1080p results to follow.
Whoops. Sorry for the repost. There's another thread here with discussion: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...&STARTPAGE=2&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear
Here's my results.
Update: Well it seems to be working. Using Video Mixing Renderer 9: ~40% CPU now instead of ~70%.
