Ladies, Gentelman
I am looking for what I hope to be a basic question about Microsoft Exchange 5.0. I am using it to learn on. I have Windows NT 4.0 server with Exchange 5.0 and 7 windows 98 michines on the network. They all have there own mailboxes. I have figured out how to get it to do a lot of what I want by reading book, newsgroups and expermenting. I can not figure out how to get it to take e-mail from the internet and send it to the correct mailbox. Internelly it works great. I can send messages to everyone on the network and vise versa. It will not sort the incoming mail from the internet. It all comes to me. I then have to forward to the right person. Does anyone know what setting I did not make that might cause it not to sort incoming internet (SMTP) mail? Out going is fine.
Thank you

Is your account/mailbox set as the Administrator/Postmaster account?
Are the received messages actually generating "undeliverable" notifications that are sent to you, which you then forward to your users?
Did you generate unique SMTP addresses for each recipient?
