Is there any way to recover a spreadsheet you were working on and didn't save?

Yes I know it was dumb not to save hours of work, but it happened. I opened up a new spreadsheet to do some editing and closed the program instead of the new spreadsheet and said no to save... sigh

Autorecover is turned on by default on Excel 2002. Do a search in the help for 'autorecover' and you'll find the procedure. Don't know about earlier versions of Excel.

tried doing a search for "autorecover" and it states that "I don't know what you mean"

I tried doing a search for "auto recover" and it shows other stuff...I am running excel 2000 not 2002 🙁

Thanks for the help though...
