I've had this sound system since it first came out.. then a little while ago, i noticed that they completely dissapreared off the face of the earth... now, mine is actin' scetchy.. all of the audio controls are on the right speaker.. and like. all of the buttons are not what they should be.. and none of them work for volume down.. so.. i just put it through usb so that i could atleast turn it down.. however, i prefer to go through my sound card so that i can have 3d sound. any ideas? is this possibly the reason they dissapeared??
btw. two friends have the same system.. but w/ no porblems.. i've tried one of my friends right speaker. but it doesn't even get power..

That happened to me a couple of times, a long time ago though, I think I uninstalled the dss80 software and reinstalled it, I do remember it was a pain in the ass, I have always used them on usb, havent had a soundcard for about two years now 🙂

I have them and have had very good luck with them. Nice speakers! Whats funny is that I have never hooked them up to the USB port! I've always had them connected to my MX300 soundcard. BTW, you can still buy them at Costco, at least at the one near where I live.

yeah... i've always run them throuhg my sound card... i just now plugged them into usb so that i could turn the volume down.. but. you can't install the software in windows 2000
