" The Godfather " and i were walking to our buses about 28 mins ago he said that he saw a thread (on A|T) that APPLE was bought by M$.

I know this was bull, so i have turned to the "source".

Steve Jobs may be a great CEO ( i know a lot of people hate him, but he still brought Apple out of the dark ages), but he can be such a baby sometimes. first of all, no matter what, he won't sell the company. although tell you the truth, MS has been "donating" lots of money to apple. they have to as to not create a monopoly. this is bullsh!t and "The Godfather" apprently drank one too many :beer:'s last night.

By "donating lots of money" do you mean a one-time purcahse of 150 million in non-voting stock back in 1997 that, IIRC, was largely, if not completely, sold off by MS years ago? That deal was a piece of a bigger picture to settle some on going disputes between the two companies.

Apple does have huge cash reserves so they are a target for hostile takeover. However, the scale we are talking I doubt even Microsoft could pull it off. Also if that were to happen then you have AntiTrust cases round 12 or whatever it is.
