Anybody own one also running wireless internet
I would like to purchase this set but alos use a T40 with wireless connection
and have heard that bluetooth and the .11 don't mix well and i know that if
iam using the bluetooth on the T40 the internet slows way down
but just curious if anyone knows if the kwyboard and mouse combo would have the same affect.

"Both operate in the 2.4 GHz spectrum and, thus, inevitably interfere with each other when used in the same place at the same time."

If they're both on 2.4 I wouldn't be surprised if there are interference issues (not to mention your 2.4 cordless phones).

For what it's worth, I'm typing on a MS Blutooth keyboard right now and the bluetooth reciever is sitting 1" from my DLINK 614+ wireless router. My Ipaq 2215 will connect to it via bluetooth, but haven't figured out how to set it up to actually do anything yet. I haven't noticed any issues with the wireless connection on this computer or the one upstairs.

With all that, my ATI Remote Wonder and the cell phone... I may end up a poster child for RF related diseases... :)

Just did a test for you..

Copying 33MB file from one wireless PC to another via 802.11b

Scenario 1: bluetooth receiver on
Time to complete: 1' 39"

Scenario 2: bluetooth receiver disconnected
Time to complete: 1' 37"

I just looooooove FCC "standards". Just get rid of your 802.11 wireless network, microwave and 2.4Ghz cordless phone and you should be running smoothly. :p

Could you tell me what the lag is like with this setup? I've heard that lag can be quite bad with this set, and I haven't been able to try one out for myself to confirm it.

Lag? I'm not sure what you mean. Can you give me a scenario to test?

I own one of these Keyboard and Mouse sets as well. There is absolutely no lag. The only thing that can remotely be called lag is when you first touch the keyboard or mouse after it goes into sleep mode. It takes about 1 second to wake it up, but from then on, it is as responsive as a wired keyboard or mouse. I also find the mouse more precise than my wired Intellimouse explorer, or normal wireless intellimouse explorer (non bluetooth). I think this Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are the best one I have ever owned.
