Happened to me. I signed up for best buy card on one of their 24 month 0% interest deals. Like 6 months after I signed up, I get a card in the mail telling me that there have been some changes to my account and that I need to call in to find out about them. I was confused as hell because I only have one credit card, and it wasn't through this company so I call them up to see WTF is going on. Turns out, when I signed up for a best buy card, I was automatically signed up for an ADDITIONAL credit card as well that had an open account.

Gee. That was nice of them to tell me.
Woah, are you serious? I bought some stuff on the BestBuy account, using 24 months interest free financing. Haven't gotten anything about this "second card" in the mail as of yet. When did you sign up for the card?

This has been on all credit applications for the past 2 years. Its at the bottem of the application, even has a picture of the credit card. I will have to admit, the customer service people are trained to get you to sign it. all i have to say, is READ THE FINE PRINT!

I agree, always the read the fine print. Just because a corporation covers their as$ by sticking sneaky crap in the fine print doesn't mean it's right. :frown:

I hope BB pays for this. If I find a hotdeal at BB I will just walk nextdoor to CC and have them PM that item.

Yes, actually a $400 shopping spree, in both California and Oregon.... It was one of my top 10 hot deals of all times.... :D

I DID read the fine print, I don't recall any pictures or mention of this "second" card I'd be getting. I've got nothing in the mail about it either.

I signed up for my BB card around 8 months ago. The only way I new I was signed up for another card was a little post card I got in the mail notifying me that they were chaning the late payment fees. I didn't recognize the name of the credit card, but it had my full name and new mailing address on there, so I called to see what's up. After spending 20 minutes on the phone I finally found out that it was a card that I supposably signed up for when opening my best buy account. It's funny, because I'm usually very good about looking over the fine print. I don't remember seeing anything about it.
