Specifically, Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition 2005.
Is MCE 2005 a "one time activation" CD?
Meaning, I installed it once on an older pc I had gathering dust and now I have a chance to sell that pc for an internet surfing and email box. I want to wipe the hdd clean and install MCE on a newer machine I now have available.
Will MS allow a 2nd activation if I call?
Why do I doubt it? I received a CD from MS in the subscription; it was Windows XP cd w/ SR2 incorporated inside but it was a "one time activation" cd and I wasn't allowed to activate it more than once.
