Microsoft Access trial with Office 2007?

Hello all,

I currently have Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 installed on my Windows laptop. For a university assignment I need to do some development with Microsoft Access. I don't mind which version of Access I'll be using and I only need it for less than a week and forget about it for good.

I saw that there is an option for a 60 days trial of Office 2010 Professional at http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/try/?WT.mc_id=ODC_enGB_Office_Try but couldn't find a similar option for Office 2007.

I'm guessing it's going to be difficult to install Office 2010 and then go back to my 2007 version and license...

Does anyone know of a free/cheap way to use Access for a few days? I live in the UK if it makes any difference.

Cool - looks like this will solve my problems.

Turns out my laptop's CPU doesn't support VT-x that seems to be needed to install a Windows 8 VM, but it'll be easy enough to get a machine that does support it for a few days.

Win8 isn't necessary. If you are using Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can just use the built in XP Mode and install the 2010 trial there.

If that isn't the case, you can always just install XP or 7 with Virtual Box. That way you don't have to worry about what 8 needs that your laptop doesn't have.

I only suggested Win8 because an activated trial is freely given by MS. Sometimes MS requires an activated copy of Windows to run their trial desktop software, so an unactivated "trial" of Win7, or other versions may not work. Of course YMMV, and as you said, there's other options.
